From the producers of the smash-hit Dumb and Dumber comes Ringmaster, the feature film debut of the king of Confessional Television, Jerry Springer.
Titled Ringmaster because that's the role Springer plays on his circus TV show, the outrageous and hilarious storyline follows the progress of two very different but equally bizarre groups of social misfits who apply to reveal their sordid relationship secrets on the fictitious Jerry TV show. The films story begins with Connie and her promiscuous daughter Angel, who performs sexual favours for guests at the seedy motel where she works, as well as sleeping with her mother's husband behind her back. Enraged, Connie seduced her treacherous daughter's fiancé before realising there's an even better way to get her revenge ... appearing on the Jerry show to tell all. Meanwhile, Starletta is a young woman with a very thorny problem - her two best friends, Vonda and Leshawnette, are getting down and dirty with her philandering boyfriend Desmond. In a whirlwind of accusations, excuses and lies, these squabbling misfits from the shallow end of the gene pool also sets their sights on a showdown on the Jerry show. Now the stage is set for the madness and mayhem that is all part of everyday life and the Jerry show, as the film goes behind the scenes to observe the scandalous goings-on both at the TV studio and behind the doors of the hotel where the guests stay. |
